Volume License Keys: All Other Volume License Programs

The following information applies to all other Volume Licensing Programs and to these products: Microsoft® Office 2003 suites, Microsoft Office 2003 applications, Microsoft Office XP suites, Microsoft Office 2002 applications, Microsoft Project 2002, Microsoft Visio® 2002, Microsoft Windows® XP Professional, and Windows Server™ 2003:
| • | Volume Licensing Media will be the only media available for multiple installations under the terms of a volume license agreement. |
| • | Retail media kit CDs (boxed product purchased through a retail outlet) will no longer be available for multiple installations and should not be used for deployments. |
| • | Volume License and Microsoft MSDN® CDs no longer include a Product Key for multiple installations. |
To use Volume License or MSDN CDs, Volume License customers will need to obtain a Volume License Key for the licensing program in which they are enrolled. Please note that retail media will not accept Volume License Keys. During product installation from Volume License or MSDN CDs, the administrator will be prompted for a 25-character product key. Instead of using the product key that was previously located on the CD packaging, the administrator will need to use his or her appropriate Volume License Key. These special product keys will facilitate multiple installations from a single CD. The product will not install from a Volume License or MSDN CD without the use of this Volume License Key.
To obtain your Volume License Key, please do the following:
1. | Refer to your program rules and documentation as many programs have special processes for obtaining Volume License Keys. You may also contact your program administrator for more details. |
2. | If you are unable to obtain your Volume License Key you may call the Microsoft Activation Center. Please obtain your Volume License agreement information and be prepared to provide proof of purchase when you call. | • | U.S. customers can call (888) 352-7140. 3. | Obtain your Volume License Keys from the Customer Service representative. |
