SIEBEL

Siebel Inaugural Event

Thursday the 16th November is kicking off the highly anticipated inclusion of Siebel user community into the UK Oracle User Group.

The agenda for this day will be available from the 4th September at www.oug.org/2006.  The day is incorporated in the UKOUG Annual Conference, allowing the Siebel Community to be introduced to the other areas of the UKOUG within one event.

Are we meeting the needs of the Siebel Community?

Over the past 5 months, a steering committee has worked to ensure the needs of the Siebel community are being met.  They have achieved this by surveying the community through online surveys and ensuring that the steering committee is made up of 3 end users, 1 partner, 2 Oracle staff and 1 UKOUG representative.

So far the Steering committee has achieved the following:

  • Organised one survey of the Siebel community asking for input for the agenda for the 16th November and suggested Special Interest Groups to be rolled out in 2007 survey results available www.oug.org/siebel/results
  • Put forward a member for the CRM Fusion committee
  • Organised the Inaugural event for Siebel with keynotes from Loic Le Guisquet, Senior Vice President for Oracle EMEA CRM Business Unit and two tracks of presentations focusing on Technology (including presentations on System performance and Analytics & Actuate) and Strategy (including presentations on BI and BI Roadmap as well as User Adoption) as well as a main session on Siebel 8

What is Next?

The Steering Committee’s next task will be to finalise the list of Special Interest Groups (SIG) for launch in 2007.  The Committee will be looking for your feedback for what SIGs you feel are relevant for the Siebel Community.  Suggested list can be found in the feedback from the survey.

To add your suggestions, please fill in the survey at www.oug.org/siebel/sigs

The Steering committee will be available to meet the Siebel community at the inaugural event or better yet, share a drink at the Focus Pubs in the evening of the 16th November.  If you miss the event, not to worry, the 2007 Calendar of Events will highlight the Siebel events taking place near you over the next 12 months.
