Dispatch staffer Shawn Sines is our primary video-games reviewer. He’s covered gaming culture and computer technology for more than four years for the Connect section, including every platform and genre. Shawn is a co-host of GameOn!, The Dispatch’s weekly podcast on video gaming and the gaming life.

His interests include gaming, designing game worlds, creating game characters, writing and, of course, playing games. The former U.S. Marine is studying Game Art and Design at The Art Institute Online.

Greg Deckler, a PC specialist, has worked as an information-technology consultant and engineer for more than a decade. He co-founded infonition, a Columbus technology firm that specialized in e-mail migrations and business-process automation and software development. Greg also was an analyst for Ferris Research, wrote the book Achieving Process Profitability: Building the IT Profit Center, and has written for many publications.

He publishes several Web sites, including freeemailmigrations.com and itethicsnewsletter.com.

He is an internet systems administrator for The Dispatch.

Jim Amaral comes from a strong background in the photo world, with more than 30 years as a certified photographic consultant. For 13 years, he was a member of WOSU radio’s CyberPanel, which ended last September.

Since 1988, Jim has been active on the board of directors for the Buckeye Macintosh Group, and president of D2G (Digital Designers Group) for most of that time.

Although he owns four Wintel PCs, he seldom uses them, spending 98 percent of the time on his beloved Macs.
