Summit
on the Future of OEM Training Proceedings
ACOEM convened a Summit on the Future
of Occupational and Environmental Medicine
(OEM) Training on March 13, 2006
in Washington, DC. At the Summit,
key stakeholders discussed the current
and future market demands for OEM specialists,
the current training model, and new
approaches and models that would effectively
apply resources to the training of
future professionals in the field. Click
here to download a copy of the proceedings
from the Summit. These proceedings
should be viewed as a "set of
minutes" which record the discussion
that took place, not a consensus document
or an official statement. The
next step is for the Task Force on
the Future of OEM Training to develop
and publish a set of proposed recommendations
for the future OEM training model based
on the input received from these key
stakeholders and others.
