Atlas AJAX - Getting a richer experience for your users

I'm not a developer as you know, but I fully appreciate the amazing things that well developed and executed code can do. I'm aware of most of our developer offerings at a high level, but wouldn't be able to deliver any presentations or demos. Well I noticed

Download Vista and Office

John always has to be the first to announce whenever things get released, launched, become available. (You haven't changed a bit I see...) So of course he had to be the first to blog about Vista RTM becoming available. Office 2007 has been available to

Share your calendar with Office Online

I'm pleased that the 2007 Office system has finally been released to manufacturing . We've re-jigged the Office Online site too. We've spent a year on the project to redesign and re-architecture all of the Office content. Some of then new features include:

System Center Essentials: Beta 2 released

I've just noticed that we've released Beta 2 of System Centre Essentials (for small and medium businesses). This is certainly worth evaluating if you're starting to feel that your IT infrastructure is getting a bit out of hand... Have a look at the official

New names for Exchange 12 and Management products too.

I just knew I should have gone to MMS this year. The new name for Exchange 12 has been announced. Microsoft Exchange 2007. KC unveiled the new (unofficial) logo for exchange, which looks very James Bond - ish and is really funky - as does the new logo

SMS betas - come and play

I've been ignoring MOM and SMS recently - I've been too fired up playing with E12 all week. But I've seen a couple of beta programs that you may want to get involved with, so get you up to speed on SMS. Here are the SMS betas that you can currently participate

New name for Longhorn - Windows Vista

So the name for Longhorn has finally been announced - Windows Vista. I like it... Have a look at this link for more information. Brian Valentine (he's the one on the right in the still shot on the web page) announced it at our internal conference in Atlanta

MapPoint Location Service on my XDA

I'm currently evaluating MapPoint Location Server with location information on my M1000 XDA II. It's a bit spooky being able to be located by my colleagues, who think I'm in the supermarket in our area, instead of working from home. The triangulation

MSN Messenger 7.0 beta - available for download

I was reading Mikes MSN spaces blog and noticed that he's blogged about the new beta version of MSN Messenger. MSN Messenger 7.0 beta has arrived and is now available for public download. I've downloaded it, and the nudges are bizzarre although very eyecatching.
