The PubSub Sidebar is a free tool that lets you view your PubSub subscription results right in your Web browser, in real time. With the Sidebar, you'll get links to any news stories, blog posts, or other items that match your interests, just as soon as they're published on the Web.

Once you've downloaded and installed the Sidebar, it will open as a resizable panel on the left side of your browser. Whenever new content that matches your subscription appears on the web, PubSub will send it along to you, and you'll see the results arriving as new links in the scrolling Sidebar display. Just click a link to open it in the main browser window.

You can choose to watch new items arriving for any one of your subscriptions, or keep an eye on all of your subscriptions at once. In most cases you will see new items just minutes, or even seconds, after they are published. There's no need to refresh the screen—PubSub uses an Instant Messaging service to deliver updates to the Sidebar whenever our Matching Engine finds them for you.

You don't even have to have a PubSub account, or any subscriptions of your own, to try out the Sidebar; we have created some sample subscriptions that you can view right away. Or, just type in your email and password to start tracking your own PubSub subscription— creating an account is easy and free.
