President Bush Discusses Energy at Renewable Energy Conference President Bush on Thursday said, "We've got a really strong economy, and in order to make sure it's strong tomorrow we need to make sure we work on how we use energy. ... We're too dependent on oil. ... And see, low gasoline prices may mask that concern. President Bush on Wednesday said, "Our goals remain clear: peace and security in Northeast Asia and a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula. We will take the necessary actions to achieve these goals. We will work with the United Nations. We'll support our allies in the region. And together, we will ensure that North Korea understands the consequences if it continues down its current path."

On Friday, President Bush signed the SAFE Port Act, a measure to help protect the American people by enhancing the security of our Nation's ports. We honor those who toil day and night to keep our homeland safe – and we are giving them the tools they need to protect our people.
