     In the Presence of the Other

  The Catholic-Jewish Conference is pleased to announce a retreat designed for educators and all those who are engaged in Catholic-Jewish Dialogue. Drs. Mary Boys and Sara Lee, experts in the areas of religious education and interfaith relations, will engage participants in the experience of interreligious learning which includes four elements:

  • The ability to enter into another religious tradition without losing one's boundaries;
  • the experience of investing in the health and welfare of another's religious tradition;
  • movement beyond tolerance to a genuine pluralism;
  • and keener awareness of both commonalities and differences among religions.
  • Participants can expect to learn:

  • Ways of engaging religious differences that contribute to healthy communities;
  • how to integrate interreligious learning into their current teaching and learning or pastoral environments;
  • and the importance of Catholic-Jewish relations in our time.
  • This overnight retreat will be held at the Siena Center. The all-inclusive fee includes: Overnight accommodations (all are single rooms with dormitory-style bath facilities) and all meals. Scholarships and continuing education credits are available. Call 414-769-3425 for more details.

    The registration deadline has been extended to October 19 at which time we must confirm our arrangements with the Sienna Center. Please click on the PDF below for a registration brochure.
