Amazingly it doesn't break as much as I thought it would

I didn't get a blue check. I downloaded WSUS 3.0 on top of a beta test box of SBS 2003 R2 and I didn't get a blue check. Interestingly enough it didn't break as much as I thought it would. I still got the daily integrated email. I'm not sure if the 'approval'

WSUS 3.0 beta 2 now released

And being the good bleeding edge SBSers that we are, already in the WSUS patch management listserve the question was asked "Can it go on R2?" ...you know ... I don't even have the final bits of R2 on my networks and folks are ready to start beta testing

Can Microsoft Update be used on a SBS box?

Can Windows Update/MS Update be used for SBS server? All the patches say Windows Server 2003, not "SBS 2003". I'm hesitant... Dear hesitant.. keep in mind that SBS 2003 is merely Windows..and Exchange..and Sharepoint...etc..etc so all you need to do 'after'

Service pack 1 has been released.. This document describes known issues affecting Windows Server Update Services Service Pack 1 (WSUS SP1) The good news is that this allows WSUS to be installed on SQL 2005 and that includes workgroup edition. Share this

Someone was talking about patching and how when they set up "download patches and notify me" that they wished there was a: Wish: There was an "Install Updates and Restart" I pinged this to someone I know as well... I want a "install and restart" please..

Setting up WSUS..again and again....and again...

If you've set up WSUS in your office and you go to a client to set up WSUS you'll know that it takes forrrreeeevvver for that system to sync up and download patches for the first time. Well why don't you export and import from your set to your clients?
