Proceedings
of the ARL Membership Meeting
ARL members meet twice a year to discuss
issues of concern to North American research libraries. Informative
and educational, the proceedings include papers from leaders in
the higher education and library communities, as well as the text
of discussions. Each meeting, and thus each volume, is devoted to
an in-depth exploration of one, timely topic. Print proceedings
are available up through the 133rd Membership Meeting (October 1998).
Beginning with the 134th Membership Meeting (May 1999) the proceedings
are online only.

Transforming
Libraries
From October 1996 to September
1999, ten issues of Transforming Libraries were published
within the SPEC Kit series. Transforming
Libraries focuses on how libraries are using tools and technology
to transform library operations and services. Each issue seeks out
pioneering individuals and institutions and reports on their innovative
activities in a specific operational or service area. Transforming
Libraries combines a print publication and a corresponding website
with links to other sites related to the topic.
