     2006 Social Justice Recognition Awards

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee proudly recognized the recipients of the 2006 Social Justice Recognition Awards on November 11th at St. Matthias Parish, Milwaukee.

The Office of Catholic Social Action, World Mission Ministry, and the Catholic Campaign for Human Development shared this interfaith event to network with representatives who work to bring justice and peace to our society through acts of social justice and loving charity.

As part of the celebration, the Archdiocese recognized the wonderful discipleship of those who are actively involved in "model" social ministry efforts. The goal was to value, affirm, and celebrate the contributions of those whose efforts stand with the poor and work to ensure human dignity, confront structures of injustice, ensure equal opportunity, build and strengthen community, and contribute to the greater common good.

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the "2006 Social Justice Recognition Award."
