Configuring clients to go to specific SUS servers for updates.
I was reading some threads about SUS earlier today, and in particular came across one that wanted information on how to configure which servers clients could go to for updates. You need to add the WUServer and WUStatusServer settings to the: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate key.
You can set registry settings to configure Automatic Updates in a non Active Directory environment. You would need to manually add the registry key at this location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU and then add the preferred settings to the key.
