Do you fancy a technical presales role in Unified Communications? Do you want to work for Microsoft?  Do you want to work somewhere warm?  like Sydney? If so, here's a job that Oscar has just forwarded to me.   I've reproduced the job description here and taken out the acronyms (which bug me) for clarity...

Unified Communications Group - Real Time Collaboration Technology Sales Specialist.  National Focus - Sydney Based opportunity

Be a part of one of the most exciting areas within Microsoft, the Office Unified Communications Group (UCG) - one of Microsoft’s major growth bets.  As a Unified Communications Technology Specialist you will evangelize the business value of the Microsoft UCG Products & Services and help drive knowledge of Live Meeting, Live Communications Server (LCS), Office Communicator. Provide pre-sales technical support to enable customers and partners to develop, deploy, and support UGC solutions. Help drive sales with deep technical expertise, effective sales and presentation skills, and superior customer focus.

Provide technology advice, demonstrations and presentations to various types of customer and business partner audiences, so as to encourage the adoption and use of Microsoft Technology. The focus for this role is on Live Communications Server. Develop and maintain relevant technology skills, business skills and experience for this role. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape.

As part of a team, create and demonstrate Proof-of-Concept systems for enterprise customers when required to complete the sales cycle. Respond to Request for Information (RFI) and Request For Proposal (RFP) documents for enterprise customers when required to complete the sales cycle

Create and maintain a scalable demonstration environment(s) to enable other TS, Solution Specialist roles and partners to showcase LCS across voice, video and Microsoft’s collaboration offerings

Jointly engage with partners to drive sales opportunities.

 

Hmmm.  The diving is good down there.  And I used to be in presales... And it's warmer there than it is here... Tempting
