Instructions for getting your congregation’s event on the “Events” page

  1. Determine whether your event fits the parameters of what we hope to maintain on the website. (See below).
  2. Gather the required information for your event as best as you can. (Also below)
  3. Submit the event information to MCM (office@mennochurch.mb.ca is the MCM Admin Assistant email) by whatever means is convenient. Email is preferable, other contact info is availalbe at the bottom of this page.

Does your event fit?

  • Events which are directly sponsored by the MCM congregations are welcome. We will not list para-church events at this time.a. eg. fundraising banquets for organizations which are not MCM congregation or MCM program oriented.
  • Events to which our constituency and beyond are invited which are not regularly recurring are welcome.
    • eg. Sunday morning worship would not be posted
    • eg. a special choir concert would be appropriate
  • a regular event which might have a special reason that everyone should be invited, or has Conference wide implications is welcome.
    • eg. a youth event that has a special invitation to all youth, like a concert, or town-wide game.

Required information:

Here's what you should submit so that our site can offer helpful information about your event:

  • Name of event and sponsoring ministry/congregation or location in one line if possible.
    • This information will appear on the main “events” page.
    • This information may be subject to editing to keep it concise.

The following information would be on its own page. You would reach this page by clicking on the name of the event.

  • Date and time
  • Location of event (even if it is included in #1)
  • Target group (if there is one). eg. youth, seniors, deacons, etc.
  • Description
  • Contact person or congregation
    • the more specific, the more likely someone will follow up for more info
  • Contact phone #
  • Contact email address
  • Website for further information.
  • Graphic image or design

Finally

Again, submit the event information to Diane Funk (office@mennochurch.mb.ca) (MCM Admin Assistant) by whatever means is convenient. Email is preferable. Postal address and fax number can be found at the bottom of this page.
