Maxis: A Timeline

Our journey begins in the mid 80's, in a world without Sims, where shoulder pads are regularly worn by people who have no intention of playing football, and Don Johnson is influencing the fashion choices of millions.

In this world exists a beacon of sanity - a brilliant young programmer named Will Wright whose interests in robotics, ants, city planning and human interaction have inexplicably driven him to create videogames.
