More Mode Stuff!

Well, Mode for Windows is out, as is an update for existing Mac users. If you haven't downloaded it yet, please do - we've made a number of changes that make it much more stable, and some of the background technology has gotten even more robust. You can download Mode from links at Cycling '74.

More Info:

- An interview/Q-and-A session with the MODE developers

Downloads:

- An updated version of mode.3-way, a free (to all) plug-in that allows you to have the MODE experience. This was created for the German Keyboards magazine, and provides some tasty pads and digital basses for your enjoyment.

Demos:

- People seem to want some mp3 demos, so I'm going to try to put something up every once in a while. The first one (named, most creatively, Mode Demo 001) can be pulled from the Mode Demo Page.

Stay tuned, and check back soon; we are working on two new plug-ins for registered MODE users:

  • A frequency shifter that utilized Bode-like algorithms, but with the kind of feedback that will make your head spin.
  • A pitch shifter that sounds right, but that adds those MODE tweaks that sound all wrong (in the right sort of way...).
