ImpreMedia Names Ayala Publisher and CEO of 'Hoy' New York

May 15, 2007 -- Jorge Ayala has been appointed publisher and CEO of Hoy New York.

After announcing an acquisition deal in February, ImpreMedia completed the acquisition today of the free daily paper from Tribune Co. The tabloid paper publishes Monday through Friday, with weekend publication Fin de Semana published every Saturday.

Ayala had held the position of general sales manager at ImpreMedia's New York-based El Diario La Prensa, where he led the division to record advertising sales revenues.

"Jorge has done just a remarkable job at El Diario La Prensa, and we are sure he will have the same success at Hoy New York," said John Paton, chairman and CEO of ImpreMedia, in a statement.



Azteca's Una Vez Mas Appoints Haymore COO

May 10, 2007 -- David Haymore has joined Una Vez Mas, the largest Azteca América affiliate TV group, as chief operating officer, the company announced today.

Haymore replaces Randy Nonberg, who continues to serve as president. Nonberg, along with Terry Crosby, chairman and CEO, founded the TV group in 2002.

For the past three years, Haymore was vice president and general manager of KLAX-FM and KXOL-FM, Spanish Broadcasting System's two radio stations in Los Angeles. Prior to SBS, he spent 7 years with Entravision Communications.






Stockdale Appointed Group Account Director for Lopez Negrete

May 09, 2007 -- Randy Stockdale has joined Houston-based Lopez Negrete Communications as executive group account director. He will be responsible for the strategic management of the company's Visa USA, Chili's and Microsoft accounts.

Born and raised in Mexico, Stockdale has worked for a variety of companies abroad and in the U.S., including AdSpan Hispanic Inc., Western Union Financial Services International, Domecq Importers Inc., Oglivy & Mather in Brazil and Mexico, and Casanova Pendrill Publicidad.

He has had a successful track record of bringing more than 15 products to the U.S. Hispanic market.




Ivanoff Appointed Interactive Director for La Comunidad, Miami

May 08, 2007 -- Andrei Ivanoff has joined la comunidad ad agency in Miami as director of interactive. A native of Brazil, Ivanoff will be responsible for creative conception, development and strategic planning for all agency clients.

He most recently worked for SiboneyUSA, Miami, where he spearheaded interactive and design planning. Clients included Got Milk?, US Airways, Colgate-Palmolive and Kellogg's. Prior to moving to the U.S., Ivanoff spent several years in Sao Paulo on both the agency and client side.

Latina Media Ventures Appoints Executive Officers; Freyre Resigns as CEO

April 17, 2007 -- Peter Glusker has been named CEO of New York-based Latina Media Ventures (LMV), the integrated media company that taps bicultural U.S. Latinas with the monthly Latina lifestyle magazine and consumer events businesses. Cynthia R. Lewis also joins the media group as president.

Fabio Freyre, who was appointed CEO of LMV in 2003, has left the company to pursue other interests, according to a press statement.

Most recently, Glusker served as senior vice president of Viacom's Digital Media Group, charged with overseeing cross-company digital media efforts as well as managing the company's portfolio of interactive investments. Lewis worked for the Hearst Corp. for 12 years, serving as vice president and publisher for women's titles Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar and last year's shuttered Shop Etc.
