Mensajero Católico, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's weekly Hispanic radio program, has received a $1,500 grant from the National Catholic Society of Foresters.

Mensajero Católico, hosted by Otilio Fernandez, airs at 7 a.m. Saturdays on La Gran D, 104.7 FM, features inspirational readings, religious music and Catholic community announcements of meetings, activities and events.

The National Catholic Society of Foresters was formed in 1891 to encourage fraternal good works and activities among members and to offer its members affordable insurance. The name "Foresters" dates back to the guilds in medieval days. Foresters offered the villagers protection from burglars and beasts. Today, the National Catholic Society of Foresters still offers protection, but now in the form of high-quality, affordable insurance products.
