What should I do if I can't find what I want to sell in your catalog?

Marketplace items will appear on Amazon.com product detail pages. If Amazon.com does not carry the item, then we do not have a page on which to list your item. You will want to list the item in Auctions.

We do offer a feature, called Create a Product Detail Page, which would allow you to add pages to our catalog so you could sell many items not currently in our catalog. However, this is only available with a Pro Merchant Subscription, and not all our stores are eligible to have products added at this time. You can read more about this feature in our Help pages in Create a Product Detail Page.

How do I decide if a Pro Merchant Subscription would be good for me?

Our Pro Merchant Subscription is optional--you do not need a paid subscription to begin selling on our site. That said, our subscription service holds many benefits for frequent or volume sellers. No matter which platform you choose to focus on--Amazon Marketplace or Auctions--being a Pro Merchant helps you list more easily and at less expense. Read more about the Pro Merchant Subscription, including details about how to sign up.

How will I know when I have a sale?

We will e-mail you when an item is purchased. We also e-mail you when we secure payment through Amazon Payments. Marketplace transactions are all paid for through Amazon Payments. Volume sellers can also download Order Fulfillment Reports to view their sales.

Are there any fees for selling?

There are fees for selling and they differ depending on where you list your item. Marketplace items list for free, but a 6 to 15 percent commission, a variable closing fee, and a $0.99 per-transaction fee is applied when a sale occurs. The $0.99 per-transaction fee is waived for Pro Merchants. Click to view more information about Marketplace seller fees (including a list of commission rates) and shipping credits. More information on Auctions fees and is also available.

When will I get my money?

All sellers must register for Amazon Payments. When a sale occurs we deposit the money into your Payments account. Every two weeks we disburse those funds to you. Find out more about Amazon Payments.

If I don't like the feedback buyers give me, will you change it?

No, we do not get involved in feedback between buyers and sellers. It is very important that feedback be reviewed before it is left, as it is permanent.

How can buyers see all of my Marketplace listings in one place?

A buyer can view all of a seller's listings in the Storefront. Note that sellers must have a Pro Merchant Subscription to have a Storefront.

How will buyers find my Auctions items?

Buyers can view Auctions items by going to the Auctions area of the Web site. This is done by going to See More Stores on any Amazon.com Web page and then selecting Auctions. Buyers can also do an All Products Search from any page to search for items in all Amazon.com stores, including Auctions.

How do I cancel my Pro Merchant Subscription?

The Pro Merchant Subscription can be closed through the Seller Account. Click on "Edit your seller settings," scroll down to Pro Merchant Subscription, and click "Cancel subscription."

When unsubscribing, you will have the option to let all listings close automatically when the subscription ends, or to roll them over and continue selling as a non-subscriber.

If you want to close your listings immediately at the time you unsubscribe, continue reading to the next section of this page.

How do I close my account?

Other than the optional Pro Merchant Subscription, sellers are not charged for having a seller account.

If you do not have a subscription, you can simply close all your listings. Once all sales are completed and all listings closed, your seller account will be inactive. You do not need to maintain an inactive seller account in any way.

If you have a Pro Merchant Subscription, you need only cancel your subscription, delete all your open listings, and finalize all sales. After this, your seller account will be inactive.

You can still place orders on Amazon.com when the seller portion of your account is inactive.

Can I put my account on hold while I go on vacation?

Yes, we have a vacation feature that allows you to do just that. You can read more about the Vacation Settings feature on the Seller Account and Preferences page.
