ISTE Salutes Its Individual and Organizational Partners

The Ed Tech community is more tightly knit than you might think, and ISTE works closely each year to involve its state and regional Affiliates in NECC, encouraging dialogue between international, national, and regional educators.

Thank You!

The world is waking up to the collective voice of our educational technology leaders and their grassroots efforts. ISTE's opportunities for local and regional leaders to get involved in national and international projects will serve to increase the volume and get the message heard by those in a position to help. The threads of the Ed Tech community are being woven ever closer, thanks to a colossal, well-orchestrated effort, and ISTE is proud to have its many individual and organizational partners included in the ongoing mission to improve education through learning technologies.

PAECT and ISTE

One working relationship is especially crucial to the success of NECC each year—involvement with regional Affiliates in conference marketing, volunteer recruitment, and partnership building. This year, the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications & Technology (PAECT) is playing a critical role in helping get the word out about NECC in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Dedicated superintendents, state department representatives, classroom teachers, retired teachers, technology coordinators, library media specialists, and more have banded together to speak on NECC's behalf at regional curriculum and technology conferences, meetings, inservices, and more. They are calling individual schools on ISTE's behalf and distributing NECC materials to their colleagues. If you are one of them, thank you immensely for supporting your regional educational community. Without your efforts and the efforts of similar partners each year, ISTE would not be able to provide NECC attendees with the richness and breadth of program, networking, and leadership opportunities that it does.

Other Affiliate Support

PAECT's support to NECC is augmented by support from other ISTE Affiliates, from California to Maryland, Texas to Michigan. Many of our Affiliate partners have generously given ISTE the opportunity to distribute conference information to their memberships, have spoken on NECC's behalf at their annual conferences, and are planning networking events for their members who make the journey to NECC in Philadelphia. Look for the schedule of Affiliate events happening at NECC on the ISTE Member Events page.
