The new single from veteran British rockers The Pretty Things is a thinly veiled protest against England’s soon-to-be-enforced smoking ban.

All Light Up is available as an exclusive single release on iTunes on July 3 but the band are offering it now as FREE to download from here.

In a statement The Pretty Things said: “All Light Up is a righteous rallying cry and the new anthem of freedom for every single person in Britain who values right over wrong, truth over lies, good over bad and freedom over tyranny.

“Everywhere we see cameras: traffic cameras, garage cameras, town and country cameras, airport and shopping mall cameras, big cameras, little cameras… they monitor us wherever we are up to 300 times a day. Our house sales, savings, inheritances and finances are taxed to the hilt, and then our personal spending is monitored and taxed again.

“We have NO FREEDOM – NONE. And we are slowly becoming more and more apathetic and incapable of making any effort to force change, even where change is long overdue and desired by every single one of us.

“And now… we can’t even smoke any more.”

All Light Up is taken from The Pretty Things’ forthcoming album, their long-awaited eleventh studio album in a 43-year recording career, and their first CD release in over eight years, Balboa Island.
