Darren Edward Kenton (born 13 September 1978 in Wandsworth, London) is an English professional football player who is a defender for Leicester City.

Kenton started his career at Norwich City in 1997. He later went to Southampton in 2003 on a free transfer. Kenton scored his first goal for the Saints against MK Dons in the FA Cup.

Having been released by Southampton in May 2006, he joined Leicester City on 27 June 2006, the team for which he had previously had loan spell with in 2005.

He started the 2006-07 Championship season well and apart from an own goal against West Brom was going well, but injury has plagued him over the past few months and is only just returning to first team action. He scored his first goal for the club in the 4-2 loss away to Stoke City and got his second of the season in a 2-1 loss against Norwich.

On Tuesday June 19, 2007 Darren was placed on the transfer list by Martin Allen. [1]
