For many of today's students, technology is ubiquitous in all aspects of their lives but school. Come work side by side with these digital natives as we visualize the future. Our goal is to give attendees the opportunity to experience what students see, say, think, feel, do, and envision. Here are a number of events at NECC that feature Student Voices; click on the titles for details. From the student's point of view:

Mayor's Digital Leadership Caucus

The caucus will demonstrate how education, community, corporate, and government leaders can create coalitions to ensure that all individuals—especially minority youth— have access to a digitally relevant education that embraces knowledge technologies that will contribute to the greater economic and civic good. The key to getting today's kids more involved in their schoolwork is not curriculum, certification, or testing, but rather engagement.
