About the show
What do you get when you cross Border Security with Blue Heelers? Nine's swashbuckling drama Sea Patrol! Sailing onto screens July 5, 2007, Sea Patrol tells the story of the crew of the HMAS Hammersley, a fictional patrol boat stationed in the top end of Australia.

The crew of the HMAS Hammersley have to deal with refugees, drug smugglers and thieves on a daily basis, but they also have an ongoing mystery to solve in connection with a murder on Bright Island.

Shot aboard a fully operational naval patrol boat in far north Queensland, the series features some of Australia's best-known actors. But fortunately for the cast, they aren't alone. Along for the ride are the real-life crew of the HMAS Ipswich, the Australian navy patrol boat that doubled for the Hammersley. The navy crew of the Ipswich are on hand throughout to share their expertise, help out on set and, most importantly, sail the ship!
