... Ahem. Hello there. Yes, over here. You may not know who I am. But people who have been visiting The Sonic Stadium for a long time certainly will. My name is Doctor Dre(ad). No, not Dr. Dre, Dr. Dre(ad). I used to have my own practice, you know. I was working on the Sonic Q&A; section, helping people with their Sonic questions. But then I got sacked. Something about chloride in the staff's tea. Oh well. Anything that you want to talk to TSS about - be it opinions on a game, the site or just generally want to chat, then kindly fill in the Mail form and get in the waiting list. Or, if I have nothing better to do and we see a ripe one, we'll just pick one of your emails sent to TSS anyway, whether you like it or not. Hey, I'm bitter these days. You don't always see a doctor scraping the barrels on a chuffing letters page...

Don't Lose Your Headdy
Question From: T.B. - 23rd June 2007 (10:53)
Hey, Dr. Dre(ad), Have you ever played a game on the Sega Genesis called Dynamite Headdy. It's a platform game from the makers of Gunstar Heroes, Treasure, revolved around this puppet who uses his head to attack enemies, and it's possibly the weirdest thing I've ever seen in a video game. All the same, it's a classic, and if you've never played it before, then you should - you'll be in for a real challenge (mind you, make sure it's not the Japanese version - they made it easier than the English version for some reason).
Dr. Dre(ad): I have indeed managed to play this pretty cool game in-between the strenuous work shifts I have to deal with. Awesome piece of gaming, that. Not entirely sure what it has to do with Sonic, but at least I've er, answered your question somewhat.
My friend's dad works at SEGA, you see.
Question From: Boss12 - 23rd June 2007 (10:47)
Dear Dr. Dre(ad), rumour has it that a Shadow the Hedgehog sequel: Shadow the Hedgehog 2: Dark Earth is to be released, Is this actually true? If so, when do you reckon it will be released.
Dr. Dre(ad): Sounds like some Shadow fanboy has been telling you his wet dream. It's not true. And if SEGA even consider a sequel to Shadow the Hedgehog, then may God help us all.
Sonic and the Secret PC ports?
Question From: batman1 - 23rd June 2007 (10:40)
Will there ever be another version of the new sonic games for PC? I don't have a PS3 or Wii, they're too damned expensive.
Dr. Dre(ad): Who knows? It's all up to SEGA. They love them their PC series of games, and Sonic is pretty much the premier/sole IP on the SEGA PC brand. I don't think there'll be any ports of Wii games though regardless, for pretty obvious reasons.
Please Come Again.
Question From: ultimate_shadow - 23rd June 2007 (10:23)
Hello Dr. Dre(ad)
Dr. Dre(ad): Why hello there. It's so nice to be appreciated.
Super Sonic Smash
Question From: Blast2 - 23rd June 2007 (10:22)
With the NiGHTS sequel being semi-confirmed, a thought occurred to me: What do you think are the chances of NiGHTS or Sonic being in SSBB?
Dr. Dre(ad): Rubbish. Although I'm a doctor, not a bookmaker, so what do I know?
Hey Mr. Wilsooooon!
Question From: Siriku - 23rd June 2007 (10:18)
Dear Dr. (why are you dear? I haven't had dinner and a movie yet.) Dread, why do you have blue static around you? Is it something to do with time distortion? And why are you holding out that paper? Is it my invitation to dinner and a movie? Also, why are your gloves that colour? Wash them once in a while will you? And that lab coat, wtf, srsly. Probably the same brown colour on the underside. God knows what you keep under that.

Get your dreads dyed as well, looks like someone's had a go at it with some form of bleach product. And those shoes are so 90's. Also, how good a friend are you with Sonic? Why aren't you in a Sonic game? SEGA bung anything in these days, so a grand recolour (albeit unhygenic) like yourself isn't out of the question.
Dr. Dre(ad): This is what I get is it, after years of service to the Doctor's Assocation Board of... Directors? Some little upstart trying it on? I don't get paid enough for this. Matter of fact, I don't get paid at all. Have to sort that one out...

The blue energy field symbolises my God-like powers. Dreadknux is an Echidna God. The paper is a prescription for you to take 15 tablets of Hydro-peptemol every day so you're not so unruly to your elders. My gloves are gold, if anything they'll rust. The lab coat is the only piece of professionalism I have left while stuck in this dingy dungeon writing to satisfy your tedious questions.

Sonic pops in once in a while. Tried to help me escape once. But it didn't work. Now there are two padlocks on my door. Sigh. That also explains why I've not been in a game, by the way. Such is life.
(AC/)DC2?
Question From: shadow0988 - 23rd June 2007 (10:11)
Dear Dr. Dread, Do you think SEGA will ever make another console like a Dreamcast 2 in the near future? I ask this, because I personally think that when they released the Dreamcast, they should have left the release date until the PlayStation came out to give better results in the game war's of the time, and SEGA seemed to get less sales since the Dreamcast got sadly beaten by the PlayStation. Oh, and do you think Silver will be a major character in the later sonic games to come?
Dr. Dre(ad): The way things are going at the moment, many people are wishing SEGA stuck to making games for one console instead of plenty. They seem to know what they're doing when they're focused on one platform instead of hopping all over the place.

Having said that, releasing a new console now or in the future will cripple them. Especially considering their bulshy attitude towards the fan community and consumers in general won't win them any favours grabbing anything more than the SEGA fanboys.

The kicker with the PS2 was that even after Sony's launch there was nothing to get a PS2 for until a year after it was released. SEGA didn't really use this time effectively by getting exclusives from third parties. It was the third party support (or lack of it) that killed the Dreamcast, despite the fantastic first party stuff. So long story short; no.

As for Silver, I'm sure Sonic Team will ensure he will play a major part of confusing time-travel style escapades in later games, regardless of how many Happy Pills I have to take (from my own cabinet you understand) to suppress my true feelings about it.
