On the cover, a box titled “Recommended Stories” will automatically appear after you read seven or more stories. This box contains headlines selected according to the types of stories you read most often. Wonder how we made the recommendations or want to modify the criteria or simply turn the feature off? No problem, just click the “What’s this?” link and see for yourself.

On every story page, we’ll display contextually related headlines, photos and videos to provide complete coverage of any topic.  Want to know what others are reading?  Each story page will list the most popular stories on the site, as well as the most e-mailed stories and those that received the highest ratings from users.

This is just the beginning of a series of enhancements that will make the most of Microsoft technology, NBC News reports and award-winning online journalism to create an unmatched news experience for you.
