Packet can mean;
- Various meanings in Information technology, based on Packets of data

- The Packet service run by the UK General Post Office, from Tudor times until 1823, using small, fast, lightly armed ships to carry state papers to overseas destinations, using a regular schedule. See: Category:Packet (Sea Transport)
- This sense was extended to mean any regularly scheduled ship, carrying passengers, as in Packet trade. In this sense the word Packet may be modified by the destination e.g. Sydney Packet or motive force Steam packet
- The names of several Newspapers e.g. The Falmouth Packet, The Princeton Packet, The Columbus Packet.
- Uses where Packet just means a small parcel e.g. Fag packet, Sugar packet.
- The C-82 Packet is a U.S. military transport aircraft.
