Project IONA
A major undertaking that has taken several months to create and will, by its very nature, never knowingly be complete; IONA was intended to be the BNP's very own treasure house of some of the enormous cultural and traditional aspects of the Islands Of the North Atlantic.

However it has been necessary to outsource this project with a group of politically independent but culturally aware individuals taking up the baton to bring this project to fruition. Regardless of the party political affilations of the individuals who are busy working on this project the new website will be a veritable treasure trove of knowledge, culture and folk tradition.
The men and women in the ranks of the rapidly growing nationalist movement are the true torch bearers of the cultural heritage of these islands. At a time when the council libraries across Britain are purging English language classics; when the BBC rewrites history and tells us that our ancestors were nothing but pirates, barbarians, slave traders and opium dealers; when schools call our finest poets and playwrights "DWEMS" (dead white European males) it is left to us true Britons to take up the defence of the rich heritage of our kinfolk. It is a heritage of words, musical accomplishments, societal values, traditions and crafts which extend way back to the builders of the great stone circles and the early adopters of farming some 5000 years ago.
IONA will feature a Hall of Heroes; those men and women who made pioneering steps in terms of our understanding of science and engineering; the great poets and writers of these islands; the soldiers and warriors; not just the Generals, Admirals and the Aristocrats, but the personal stories of the sailors and infantrymen who fought on every continent on every ocean on the planet and the tales of the colliers, farm labourers, tradesmen and factory workers who toiled and helped shape our nations.
IONA will feature our islands' Living Treasures; our culture and heritage is not something that is old, irrelevant and imprisoned in dusty museums. The cultures of IONA are living organisms, vast bodies of wealth accumulated over millennia, bodies of wealth kept alive in the hills, harbours, villages and towns across these islands. Bee-keepers, shepherds, cider-makers, horse-trainers, weavers, thatchers and coopers still make a living, even in today's industrialised society.
IONA will feature a "Misty Isles" section; the legends, myths and folk tales of our islands would take a lifetime to gather, read and digest. The folk stories and nursery rhymes, many of which are consigned to the history books tell us of the days of our ancestors, their lives, their wisdom, values and great deeds.
But it doesn't end there. In conjunction with BNPTV, IONA will be a living breathing, vibrant multi-media project offering downloadable music, video and audio work which can be used to entertain, inform, educate and enthuse our people with a knowledge of their great past, help us deal with the challenges of the present and help prepare us all for a great future.
