Blog: Do you support NIFA?

We're hoping to create a dialogue with you, our members, through our new Science Policy Blog! We want to know what you think about new legislation proposed by the Senate which would create a National Institute of Food and Agriculture within USDA. This would be new funding above and beyond research currently funded through extramural research accounts supported by USDA Cooperative State, Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES)-formula funding, NRI and Integrated (sec 406)-or Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intramural accounts. Should the agricultural community support NIFA? We want to hear your thoughts. Go to: www.asa-cssa-sssa.blogspot.com
