Is a “Sex and the City” movie in the works? When TODAY show host Matt Lauer asked Sarah Jessica Parker about rumors of a big screen version to the HBO series, Parker said “I'm hopeful this time. There is some true real discussion.”

And as fans wait for Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte to reunite, Parker has been keeping herself busy— she's been working on her fashion line called Bitten.

“I was really dubious and quite skeptical that this could be done,” said Parker of her own clothing line. Conceptualized as affordable and trendy fashion, Bitten is exclusively sold and partially inspired by the company Steve & Barry's.

“I was seduced and enchanted by what they want to do for women and men. I got bit.”  All about feel-good clothes, every piece is under $20. The entire collection has a range of 500 items including blazers, sweaters, dresses, jewelry, shoes, and jeans.

“Women should be able to wear great clothes and not lie in bed at night feeling guilty about how much money they've spent,” she said. Parker claims to have worn out her own pair of Bitten jeans.

It’s very clear that Parker wants real women to wear her line. “I want to make fashion accessible to all women in this country despite their economic status, ethnic background, their age, shape or size,” said Parker on TODAY. Jeans run from sizes 2 to 22.

“This is refreshing to see in a 'celeb-u-line,'" says Bobbie Thomas, style editor of In Touch magazine.

Life wasn’t always Blahnik's and Prada for the “Sex and the City” star. Growing up, Parker had to wear her sister’s hand-me-downs. Her family was once on public assistance.

“I grew up with not a whole lot of access to things quite costly,” said Parker on TODAY. “I'm keenly aware of things not being accessible especially for women especially when it comes to fashion.”

Parker's accesible clothing philosophy is not unlike basketball star Stephon Marbury's. Hoping to eliminate the pressure young boys feel to spend a lot of money on sneakers, Marbury, also with the company Steve & Barry's, created the Starbury Collection. The biggest seller was the Starbury sneaker, priced at $14.98.

Parker heard about this and was moved. “When I first heard about Starbury shoe, I burst into tears,” said Parker in an interview with Glamour.com.

Bitten is exclusively sold at all Steve and Barry’s stores.
