Owen Wilson makes appearance at movie premiere
Friday, October 05, 2007 Owen Wilson stood alongside the costars of his latest film, The Darjeeling Limited, at its Los Angeles premiere Thursday night. It was one of the actor's first public appearances since he attempted suicide in late August. He had a blond beard and was wearing a dark jacket, and was joined by fellow Darjeeling castmates Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman, and Anjelica Huston. Filmmaker Wes Anderson was also there, and he spoke about his friend and co-writer before the screening. "I've never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to," Anderson said. He and Wilson have collaborated on several films including Bottle Rocket, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. The latter film earned them an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay. The Darjeeling Limited stars Wilson, Brody and Schwartzman as three brothers who haven't spoken for a year. They decide to take a train trip together in the hopes that it will bring them closer. Thursday's premiere took place at the headquarters of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Photo by Robyn Beck, Getty Images |
