Emotional Healing Prayer
by NavPress |
Jesus wants to heal our emotional wounds so that we can be free to live more fully and joyfully for Him. And He wants to use us to minister to others in the same way.
|
Special Theme Section—Emotional Healing Prayer In this issue, we explore Jesus’ heart of compassion to minister to the emotional wounds in people and how that compassion spilled over into His intercessory prayer life. We talked to people who have been on both the giving and receiving ends of prayer for emotional healing, and how it has transformed their lives. We hope as you read their stories, see the truths in Scripture, and apply the principles for making this kind of prayer ministry a part of your own life, you’ll go away encouraged, inspired, and equipped to continue this vital aspect of Jesus’ ministry.

PrayKids!: Agreement
We know that God hears our prayers when we pray individually, even in secret (Mt. 6:6). But Scripture also tells us that the Spirit of Jesus is uniquely present when two or more gather in His name (Mt. 18:20). It is this kind of prayer—where two or more of Jesus’ followers are gathered together in His name—that we call the "prayer of agreement.
In this lesson, children will learn about the power of agreement in prayer. Using the illustration of music and an orchestra, the children will see that when two or more are gathered in Jesus’ name for prayer, they make beautiful music in God’s ears!
