Hitnatkut - Engaging Disengagement
A complex puzzle of diplomatic, political and national issues form the canvas upon which the Disengagement Plan has been built and mobilized - and it has been a challenge to create a series that will address all the significant factors and topics.

This new series by the Education Department, JAFI, deconstructs the many facets of the process and its provisions, together with the socio-political fabric within which it operates, and brings discussion and activity ideas to explore the implications from different perspectives. In addition to the historical, political and formal background to Disengagement, the series includes: a history of Gush Katif and the region, a range of Israeli positions on Disengagement, security perspectives, issues related to Israeli society and Religious Zionism, controversial legal issues, background articles, links, and programming resources.
