Solo work from the highly respected TEN YEARS AFTER Blues Rock guitarist. Lee had shot to international recognition with his electrifying solo on 'I'm Going Home' from the movie of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Lee first broke away from TEN YEARS AFTER with a 1973 collaboration with HOLY SMOKE's Mylon Le Fevre 'On The Road To Freedom'. Guests included such heavyweights as TRAFFIC's Steve Winwood, GEORGE HARRISON, PATTO's Mike Patto, FLEETWOOD MAC's Mick Fleetwood, KING CRIMSON's Boz Burrell and Ronnie Wood of the ROLLING STONES. Lee returned the ex-BEATLES man's favour by sessioning on his 1974 'Dark Horses' album.

posthumous TEN YEARS AFTER album 'Positive Vibrations' followed in 1974. Lee pulled together a new band ALVIN LEE & CO. Featured were guitarist Neil Hubbard, bassist Alan Spenner, JODY GRIND and STREETWALKERS man Tim Hinkley on keyboards together with the ex STREETWALKERS duo of saxophonist Mel Collins and drummer Ian Wallace.
