  Services: Adult Day Services

A service of Catholic Charities' Adult Care Ministries

Catholic Charities has a long standing reputation for meeting the needs of older adults and their caregivers with sensitivity and dignity. Catholic Charities’ Adult Day Service Centers are large enough to provide a wide range of services, yet small enough to respond personally and promptly to individual needs.

Typical participants in our program are 50 years of age and older with disabilities ranging from stroke or arthritis to Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of mental confusion. By providing a safe, supervised setting, we meet the daily care needs of the participants while encouraging them to maintain their self-help and social skills. Participants look forward to their time at the Centers, and enjoy the friendships and activities we offer. In short, they feel better and function better.

Recreational activities include sing-alongs, crafts, conversation, games, range of motion exercises, memory exercises, entertainment, and companionship. Activities during the day often help the participants rest more easily at night. Caregiver support groups and counseling services are also available.
