Back in Black. Indeed.

Viksit.com is finally back in a new, revived, classy black look with new and improved features! Not only can you now comment on each and every article on the website (which is written hereon), it also allows for intelligent spam detection, intelligence modules to make sure that the person commenting is in fact, a human being, and it even remembers you the next time you're here.

Over the next few days, I will be revamping other sections of the site as well. And stay tuned for a bunch of writings on Religion, Politics and Technology coming right up! For those in the know, my anonymous blog is up and running as well! Drop by there.

Uh yeah, due to some over zealous anti spam measures which I've taken, the comment system to a number of the articles isn't working. And I don't have time right now to fix it. I suggest using the contact form to leave the comment - I'd be glad to respond to it ASAP.

Major updates!
Well well. Its been a while since I updated something really big. The site was getting bogged down with comment spam, and the whole thing was depressing enough to make me want to hurl.

Well, I should probably have been working, but I figured this was something I needed to do anyway.

Finally got down to installing some extreme anti spam measures with bayesian filtering - so no more of those poker and viagra comment spam on this website!! Next, I upgraded Drupal to use the latest security patches and things so I could reduce any vulnerabilities that may exist. And of course, I changed the theme to one which I thought looks cool, and is more pastel-colored than the old one!

Came across http://web.archive.org which maintains a copy of most older sites around. Which means my old website (from 1996, 1997, and then the 1999-2001 edition) can now be seen again! :)

This site was my original effort at getting information about AI and my projects up on the web. Wow, thats 6 years ago. and it seems just like yesterday. Funnily enough, I'm still into AI, although after a long hiatus!

Scary, but I got on to the internet in 1996. That was without any graphic browsers like Mosaic or Websurfer. (IE and Netscape came after 6 months or so. IE even later, in 1997 mid if i remember correctly!). My Yahoo profile - http://profiles.yahoo.com/viksit is rather informative about when I joined.

The perfect way to save server space, and link my blog to this website!

On your left, you see the menu for "and Then there was vIkSiT". Thats my blog running on LiveJournal. The cool thing is, it is now completely reflected on this site. Which means, that everything i blog on LJ can bee seen here, as well as my tech blog which goes on as part of *this blog.

The best part however, is that these entries remain on the server for only 2 weeks (or whatever time i choose to keep them in). Thus, before getting newer content from LJ, the existing stuff is cleared out. It can be retrieved anytime you like too!

Livejournal is cool. And its popular. And lots of people see it regularly.
But I cant seem to not have a blog running on this site as well!

Both blogs now running are actually complemenatary. Whereas the LJ blog is more about personal stuff and events, the one on this site is about my views in general of a lot of things - ranging from politics, the economy, technology and practically anything else which i find is worth ranting about.
