Hydrocephaly is commonly referred to as water on the brain. What it refers to is an excessive build up in and around the brain of cerebral spinal fluid. It is a rare condition that occurs when something interferes with the circulation and blocks the liquid from it's normal exit, which causes increased pressure build up within the skull, explains Lorene Hall, author of " Hallelujah! It's a Mother's Miracle". The problem is most that cases start when the child is very young and early symptoms may as be as simple as poor eating habits. Lorene takes the mystery out of identifying Hydrocephaly from a mother's perspective.
Here are some of the symptoms you need to be aware of in identifying hydrocephaly: Prolonged poor eating habits Severe Headaches Vomiting Loss of sight Low or no limb activity
The more attention you pay to your little one, the easier you can identify hydrocephaly or ANY symptoms before a doctor could.
