Consulates

There are several Norwegian Honorary Consuls in Canada.

Honorary Consuls are appointed by the Norwegian Government, but are usually nationals of the host country, in our case, Canada.

As the title implies, the Consuls do not receive a salary from the Norwegian Government, but have agreed to represent Norway in their region on a voluntary basis. Their main task is to promote Norwegian interests and further Norwegian-Canadian co-operation in their region.

The Honorary Consules often have dealings with Norway through their day-to day business, and can provide advice and assistance in relations with Norwegian authorities, institutions or individuals. It goes without saying that they also provide assistance and advice to Norwegians in their dealings in Canada. For instance, they can receive passport applications from Norwegian nationals.

Please find contact information for each consulate on the list to the right.
