Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput, OFM Cap, Archbishop of Denver, will be the first speaker in the 2008 Lecture Series on Thursday, March 6, 2008. The topic will be "Catechesis That Impacts the Public Square."

Archbishop Charles Chaput, a member of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, St. Augustine Province, was ordained to the priesthood on August 1970. Archbishop Chaput served in teaching and formation roles; he has served as executive secretary and director of communications for his Capuchin Province and as a pastor. He was ordained Bishop of Rapid City, South Dakota, in July 1988 and Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Denver in February 1997.

Each lecture will begin at 7 p.m. at Alverno College campus in Wehr Hall in Milwaukee.
