     Visitation House
A New House of Discernment for Women

Visitation House, a house of discernment for women, opened at the end of May in the former convent of St. John Kanty Parish on Milwaukee’s south side. It is to serve as a place of discernment for young Catholic Women who are seeking God’s will. Participants in this community deepen their understanding of God’s call through a variety of spiritual opportunities. It is hope that Visitation House will nurture young women who desire to know God’s will through a communal life, familylike atmosphere, active apostolic lifestyle, prayer and spiritual enrichment opportunities. There will be an overarching Marian spirituality in this house.

This house of discernment is a collaborative venture between the Vocations Office and the board of directors of Visitation House. Board members include Margaret Fenleon, Mary Lestina, Katherine Schaitberger and Fr. Alan Veik, O.F.M. Cap.
