Love Thy Neighbor, Catholic Social Action's August 2007 Newsletter

The Church’s social teaching is a treasure (Mt 13: 44-46) about building a just society and living out the Gospel message amidst the opportunities and challenges of modern society. In “Love Thy Neighbor,” the department of Catholic Social Action highlights themes that are at the heart of our Catholic social tradition. The August 2007 newsletter features articles on:

• Respect Life Track Offered at Lifelong Faith Formation Conference
• Reflections on the Social Action Summer Institute
• A Message from Director of Catholic Social Action: Advocacy Flows from Love
• More than just a “Farm Bill”
• Respect Life Parish Kits: The Infant in My Womb Leaped for Joy
• PEPFAR
• Operation Rice Bowl
• Parish Social Ministry Training coming to Milwaukee in November
• New Contact Phone Numbers: Our office has moved!
• Calendar of Events for 2007

Please share this newsletter with members of your committees, and encourage your parish bulletin editor to include information about the Lifelong Faith Formation’s Respect Life Track in October.
