N.H. Governor Signs Civil Unions Law

John Lynch signed into law Thursday. “We in New Hampshire have had a long and proud tradition taking the lead and opposing discrimination,” Lynch said. “Today that tradition continues.”

S.F. Launches Adoption Campaign Targeting Gay Parents!

The San Francisco Department of Human Services on Monday said it is starting a campaign to recruit more gay men and lesbians to adopt foster children, especially teens, who are among the hardest to place. The campaign is believed to be the first of its kind in the nation.

“We’re always looking for adoptive homes for children, and we never have enough families,” Debby Jeter, deputy director for the city’s Family and Children Services, told the San Francisco Chronicle. “We believe same-sex couples have the ability to provide the same kind of family! for a child as non-same-sex couples.”
