Afternoons with Glynn Greensmith

photo of

Glynn Greensmith with Wagin Shire President Marilyn Brockway next to the Giant Ram.

Statewide Afternoons is in Bubury, after a trip through the Great Southern.

While Glynn Greensmith was in Wagin, he decided it was the perfect chance to visit the farmers out in the fields who have been texting in to the show all harvest. Farmer Grant Ward taught Glynn how to drive a header. You can watch a video or check out the photos.

Aussie Motto

Response to our question "What's your motto for Australia?" was amazing. Here are some examples:

"Australia. One trillion flies can't be wrong." Julie, Albany.

"DON’T PANIC" Tony, on the harvester.

“Beaches, beers, balls and babes-that’s what we’ve got.” Shane, Jerramungup.

“Liberty, equality, more public holidays” James De Leo.

Such is Life” Sylvia Ordonez, Conundrums guest, Camp Quality.

“She’ll be right” Max, Bullaring.

“Football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars.” Darryl, Kununurra

An Aussie version of the Olympic motto “Faster, higher, stronger”…“Slacker, slower, funner”. James De Leo.

“We sledge better” Keith, Northampton.

“Your round, mate” or “God save Shane Warne” Kate, Afternoons producer.

“Strive for excellence, but don’t excel too much or we’ll turn on you like rabid dogs.” James De Leo.

“Australia, it’s not weather you win or lose, it’s the drinks after the game.” Steelo, Nyabing.

“Live and let live, or we’ll kill you.” Ken, Marchadee.
