Order documents in advance of your visitWe regret that we have had to temporarily withdraw the facility for visitors to order original documents in advance of their visit to Kew. This will apply from Friday 30 November 2007 until the end of March 2008. This page explains why we are doing this and some of the temporary procedures now in place. Advance ordering temporarily suspended 30 November 2007 to 31 March 2008We regret that there will be significantly reduced seating capacity in the document reading rooms from 17 December 2007 until the end of the current improvement programme. Any visitors wishing to look at original documents in the reading rooms will be admitted on a first come, first served basis during this period. We have temporarily altered a number of our procedures at Kew to ensure that we can accommodate as many visitors as possible in the reading rooms each day. As a result of this, we unfortunately have to withdraw the facility for visitors to order original documents in advance of their visit to Kew. This will apply from Friday 30 November 2007 until the end of March 2008. We will consider advance document orders for visitors with special circumstances. Read more about these procedures below. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that these temporary changes may cause you.
