Housing releases room selection changes for fall
This week, the Department of Housing announced changes to the room selection process that will be implemented in the fall 2000 semester.
Dead week to become truly dead
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, the Student Regulations Committee unanimously approved a recommendation that will ensure that no quizzes or tests will be given to students in any class during dead week. The recommendation will next be presented to the Academic Senate on April 18, and if approved, would take affect as soon as graduating seniors are required to take final exams during finals week.

With his team struggling through a nightmarish season, Georgia Tech head basketball coach Bobby Cremins announced on Friday that he will retire at the end of this season, his 19th at Tech. Cremins' departure will bring an end to the most successful era in Tech basketball history and the third best coaching stint in the history of the ACC. Despite guiding the Jackets to 352 wins and 14 post-season berths in his time at Tech and transforming the program from obscurity to one of national prominence, Cremins had come under fire of late for his recent teams' failures to make the NCAA tournament.
