The Sqn carried out initial trials on a variety of fixed wing and rotary aircraft and associated equipment. In 1971 the Sqn moved to Netheravon and were orgmented by No’s 6, 14, 15 and 132 Flt’s to form the new 667 Sqn AAC. They were under command UKLF and in 1973 due to the size of the Sqn were upgraded to Regimental status and re-titled 7 Regt AAC. 667 Sqn was again disbanded and reformed in Sept 1989 and now conducts all trials task for Army Aviation aircraft.
