Rumors on the internets state the first sightings of this forced meme date back to March 2007. Since then several variations of it have been spammed over and over again on /b/. Spinoffs include the thread starting with 'WE'RE NO STRANGERS TO LOVE', 'ON A DARK DESERT HIGHWAY', 'I HEARD THAT YOU WERE TALKING SHIT AND YOU DIDN'T THINK THAT I WOULD HEAR IT', and various other shitty songs everyone hates.
