[edit] Gif thumbnail screwup
Hey, since you are an image czar I think Ive come to the right place. Following the image advice for B&W or iconic images I uploaded a couple image galleries in .gif format (Used MSpaint & sometimes GIMP) to save file space and bandwidth and they have worked great, except for they look like ass in thumbnails (no smoothing). It's strange because Ive seen other gifs in thumbnails that were not that bad.

- I've always had that problem with GIFs. I think PNG might give you better thumbs. Give it a shot. I think the quality loss is more apparent with your images because (I think) you're using two colors. --Quasidan 01:52, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ahhhh.... Yeah because to save on filesize I manually selected all the MSPAINT images on a 1-bit (black and white) pallet. However, I did make a colour PNG that is doing the same thing also so im a little puzzled (but then again GIMP could have automatically put it on a extremely limited pallet). There was an edit war over the anarchism article and another user had an Admin protect it so it can't be edited any further. Is it lulzy or just Uncyclopedia-level crap? In a way I'm sorry to see #ed go. I had a lot of fun there. On the other hand, it was a tremendous waste of time, and I must admit it was being overrun by people with nothing funny to say. Plus admining it had to be a giant pain in the ass.
Anyway, farewell to #ed. I'll still contribute to ED when I have time (and, hopefully, something funny to add).
