Starfinder is the furry name of Cristina Penescu, a furry "artist" from Southern California. She is most known for copying other people's artwork and then for stealing fat furry fanboys' money!

Starfinder likes to take money for commissions, conbadges, and sketches and never deliver the final product. She was also accused of "losing" artwork and generally breaching contract.

In typical furry drama lulztasticness, an online petition was started to ban her from selling artwork at a furry convention, but only 75 fucktards signed it. Let me clarify. 3 people signed it, but there were 75 signatures. Petition asking that she be prevented from selling art at Further Confusion

Starfinder has also been accused of copying other artists' poses and styles, Post on Lilymud by Sabarika (February 2002) and of tracing photographic models.

Starfinder asserts that her recent track record with commissions has been good, with several satisfied customers and work completed on or before deadline. Recent commissions she was unable to finish have been refunded in full. In January 2007, Starfinder stated that she was "working to resolve everything with everyone", and requested that anyone who had not received their commission promptly contact her and give a description of the unreceived piece so that she may complete it. Starfinder was also meant to be a guest of honor at FurFest Northwest before that event's cancellation, much to the disappointment of ~~the lynch mob~~ her fans.

December 1, 2007 saw edits to this page which removed Starfinder's real name and her pile of dirty money; probably because she does professional photography and photo-editing, and wouldn't want potential ~~suckers~~ customers/clients to stumble upon any personal information about her, and subsequently not give her money. Whether it was Starfinder herself or one of her mindless furry followers is unknown. Personal images/information/activities are fair game if any of it is public in any aspect, it's your own fault. Akin to the philosophy toward dumb SUV owners (can't drive it, don't buy it), don't act like a douchebag and people won't ridicule you about it.
