The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs has renamed and restructured the former Office of Diverse Community Affairs and Lesbian Gay Concerns. Beginning with the Fall 2005 semester this unit will become the Office for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities (SJE). Dr. Cheryl Clarke will continue as director of this office.  Ms. Meredith Davis-Johnson, previously Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, will join SJE as Associate Director.  The SJE will combine the diversity work, in which both Dr. Clarke and Ms. Davis have been previously involved, with collaborative efforts regarding issues of social justice, cultural diversity, and bias prevention education. Ms. Davis-Johnson will continue her work as coordinator of the Committee to Advance Our Common Purposes and director of planning committees for various student affairs conferences. Ms. Janice D.
